The Certified Data Centre Management Professional (CDCMP) develops the knowledge required to strategically manage, control and improve the operational effectiveness of a data center. It connects physical infrastructure with project delivery, operational management, maintenance, people, service management, business strategy, compliance, auditing and asset management. For English-language courses, successful learners receive a BTEC Level 5 Professional Award in Certified Data Centre Management Professional.

CDCMP begins with data center fundamentals, business needs, design principles, standards, availability, capacity and physical infrastructure. It covers power, cooling, cabling, IT systems, storage, security and access. Project content includes business cases, project cycles, prioritization, constraints, risk, planning, change and documentation. Operations content includes service-management frameworks, SLAs, OLAs, KPIs, operational procedures, availability, decommissioning, transformation programs, facility operations, BMS and fire safety. Management topics include people, multidisciplinary teams, plant, power, cooling, IT environments, energy efficiency, services, activity planning and business strategy. The program also covers legislation, standards, accreditations, physical-infrastructure audits, performance audits, environmental audits and asset management.
