Overview

Certified Data Centre Energy Professional (CDCEP) develops specialist knowledge in data center energy management and efficiency. The program focuses on creating an energy-efficiency plan, analysing site data, identifying efficiency opportunities and developing recommendations intended to reduce energy use, improve capacity utilisation and reduce carbon emissions. Successful learners receive the official CDCEP certification and an internationally recognised Pearson BTEC Level 5 Professional Diploma in Certified Data Centre Energy Professional.

What It Covers

CDCEP examines energy demand, carbon emissions, data center constraints and corporate social responsibility. It covers energy audits, consumption analysis, modelling, forecasting, energy metrics, KPIs, capacity reclamation and business-continuity considerations. Learners examine power consumption across IT equipment and supporting systems including cooling, backup power, fire suppression, security and alarms. The program addresses energy-efficiency policies and strategies, long-term power and cooling efficiency, CapEx and OpEx considerations, operational processes and future technologies. It also covers environmental and energy accreditations, relevant regulations, codes and standards. Case studies are used to develop energy-efficiency plans and evaluate potential savings.
