Certified Data Centre Audit Professional (CDCAP) develops the knowledge and competency required to establish and execute a strategic audit process for data center environments. The program examines how to collect and analyse information across physical infrastructure, facilities, assets, documentation, operational processes and procedures in order to baseline current capability, identify risk and develop improvement actions. Successful learners receive the official CDCAP certification and an internationally recognised Pearson BTEC Level 5 Professional Certificate in Certified Data Centre Audit Professional.

CDCAP examines the business need for audits and the relationship between business requirements, operational perceptions, service levels and infrastructure capability. Audit planning includes scope definition, stakeholders, SLAs, standards, regulations and industry practices. The program covers audits of data center physical infrastructure including power, cooling, IT systems, buildings and facilities. It addresses asset-management strategy, controls, moves/adds/changes, decommissioning and financial implications. Operational audit content includes policies, processes, procedures, working practices, compliance escalation and review cycles. Documentation auditing examines operational records, compliance documentation and whether documentation is structured, accurate and fit for purpose.
